    I only have one gripe, I hate that it shuts off the heat to the plate when your searing and you open the lid, ok i also hate that it doesnt get hot enough but I have a Jo junior with soapstone to help me out, I just hate having to close the lid to sear veg, prawns etc. Unless it does keep running then I only have the not hot enough gripe. If you don’t have the Woodfire on in the grill setting you can use it with lid open and full heat. I know it yells at you to shut lid if you have Woodfire on but I’m not sure if it turns off the heat.

    I'm considering purchasing one of these as I like the versatility and ease of use for smoking. I am also considering a pellet grill. I believe the name is confusing as to what the Ninja Woodfire Grill actually is - an electric grill that is capable of smoking. The pellets are used strictly for smoking and not as a heat source like a pellet grill. My wife won't use my Weber gas grill and a woodburning, charcoal or pellet is more involved than she is willing to do. Therefore, an electric grill makes sense.

    • @DadGotThis
      @DadGotThis 2 дні тому

      After using a full size pellet grill I can say that where the Woodfire really shines is ease of use. The startup and cleanup procedures are SO MUCH less time consuming.

    Do you have to let the replacement pellets reignite throughout the cook? Or just dump the old stuff and add new?

    • @DadGotThis
      @DadGotThis 3 дні тому

      You top off, make sure you fill to the top and then reignite. On the older model you need to hold the Woodfire (flame) button for 3 seconds until you see the screen flash IGN. On the Pro Connect XL you just need to press the button and it will say ign. That will re light the pellets.

    Hi James, I think there is a mistake in the conversion of F to C when you are setting up the cook on the app. 129F is 48.8C, not 93C. 200F is 93C, which will turn the beef into shoe leather.

      You are 100% correct, I used the temp of the cooker instead of the steak accidentally.

    Have you ever figured out how to create a smoke ring when you smoke brisket or ribs on the Ninja? I bought a Ninja a couple weeks ago and totally love it, but my only minor complaint is there is no smoke ring on anything.

      @@DadGotThis Thanks! I will do some experimenting and see if there is any way to create a smoke ring. I know it is just aesthetics, but still...

    Warming rack addition a plus! A wired thermometer does well. But, it gets unmanageable for searing. I wonder if wireless thermometer (like your Inkbird) would work in this grill. As long as the metal shell doesn't act like a faraday cage, you should be able to use a wireless thermometer (just like in an air fryer [which is what this oven is...massive air fryer]).

      I have used both my INKBIRD and my meat stick in it without issues.

    My son got me the 2 in 1 shark vacuum and mop robot. I have to admit I was very skeptical about how well it would work but I love love love it. Best gift ever. I'm not very tech savvy but it was easy to get started and the videos available are wonderful. Great addition to the family. Love love love it. I can't thank my son TJ enough.

    Why won’t smoke ignite on certain settings like grill? That sucks!

    • @classicmomentos
      @classicmomentos 6 днів тому

      It’ll ignite, he’s saying the grill will beep at you if you enable woodfire but then leave the lid open when grilling. No problems with woodfire when you grill with the lid closed and only open to flip.

      @dmxdmx9743 what setting were you on? There are some that do not allow Woodfire. It will 100% let you use Woodfire on grill as you can see in my 5 guys video. ua-cam.com/video/VeNBpS8FvAA/v-deo.html
